Hearts Hair and Beauty in Railway Street
Bed Of Roses in Parliament Square
One of the town's best known florists has closed it's doors to customers.

Bed Of Roses in Parliament Square ceased trading earlier in the month after many years in the town. The closure leaves two remaining florists in Hertford, Bouquet & Blossoms in The Wash and Jo Kitteridge in Railway Street. A fourth florists in Bircherley Green closed in 2002.

Other closures in the town include The Refectory, also in Parliament Square, which is shortly to open as a gift shop; and Hill House Hammond insurance on the corner of South Street and Fore Street.

Lussman's Mediterranean restaurant will shortly open in Fore Street, in premises formerly occupied by Cafe Pasta, following its closure by owners Pizza Express, who have also recently bought the ASK chain of restaurants.

A new women's clothes shop named The Earth Collection has opened in Bircherley Green opposite New Look. The premises were until last year occupied by a sports shop.

The Marquee Club has recently ungone transformation from a snooker club into live music venue and stages concerts and comedy every weekend.

Finally, plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of the filling station at the Rush Green roundabout.
