Hartham swimming pool will reopen to the public on Friday 20th May, with lessions restarting on Monday 23rd May.
In an announcement on social media, Hartham Leisure Centre said: "We are pleased to announce Hartham Pool Refurbishment is now completed.
"We are now in the final stage of preparing the pool to be ready for all of our swimmers to return and we can now confirm the pool we be open on Friday 20th May 2022 for public swimming and Monday 23rd May 2022 for swimming lessons.
We would like to take this time to Thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing you all back with us."
The pool had previously been scheduled to reopen on Saturday 30th April, but the date came and went without the reopening taking place. Both Everyone Active and East Herts Council have been tight-lipped about the reason for failing to reopen.
Work on redeveloping Hartham Leisure Centre started last year, but reopening of the swimming pool was delayed when unforseen technical issues were identified.
