This year, Rock at the Castle has gone all out to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Kicking off at 12.30pm,the Mayor of Hertford will welcome visitors to an outstanding line up of main stage and acoustic stage acts. Over 100 acts auditioned for a slot to perform at Rock this year, so rest assured those chosen have something unique to show the public.

For this year, try your hand at FREE drum circle workshop sessions provided by Jesus Hooligan. This family friendly activity allows visitors of all ages to join in with a barrel hitting performance. Sessions run at 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.30pm outside the Ashley Webb Shelter with a final main stage performance at 7.15pm to finish the music festival.

Live music will fill the Castle grounds until 7.30pm where all visitors are welcome to attend an after show party from 7.30pm held at Hertford Corn Exchange until midnight.

With an array of stalls circulating around the Castle Lawn, it’s not only music that will be entertaining visitors on the day. Hertford Town Council have organised for sand art craft activities, meditation and relaxation sessions, yoga inspired massage classes, jungle mania bouncy castle and jousting!

For those wanting retail therapy, we have vintage clothing, paintings, jewellery and handmade home ware for sale.

After rocking out to the music and building up an appetite, look no further than the McMullen’s bar, hog roast, wood fired pizzas, crepes or fine food stall.

Chairman of the Development and Leisure Committee, Cllr Miss Isabel Sigmac, said: "This is one of my favourite events Hertford Town Council run and we are so proud to be celebrating its 10th year running. Not only is the event great fun for all, it raises money for charity. Please dig deep and donate what you can on the day for our chosen charity Mudlarks."

Parking is available nearby in St.Andrew Street car park or any of the town's other car parks.
