Representatives of The Berkeley Group faced a hostile public during a public consultation at The Millbridge Rooms on Saturday.

The developer is proposing to build 420 flats and 30 houses on the site of the former gas works in Marshgate Drive.
Visitors to the exhibition lamented the lack of parking - one space per flat and two per house.
Claims that the development would have no impact on the surrounding road network were derided.
The area is allocated for mixed use development in the draft District Plan. The plan submitted to the government specified up to 200 homes on the site, but has been forced by The Planning Inspectorate to change this to at least 200.
Submission of a formal planning application is expected in the Autumn.
