Gascoyne Way was closed for three hours today (Sunday 14th October) whilst police negotiated with a man on the second level of multi-storey car park.

Concerned for the safetly of the man, police closed Gascoyne Way in both directions from the Bluecoats Roundabout to the Page Lane roundabout, causing long tailbacks on the main road through town and congestion in the town centre.
The man was eventually persuaded back in to the car park shortly after 2pm.
