Works to improve Maidenhead Street start in next week (Monday 17th September), with road closures scheduled to last until the end of November.
As well as works taking place along the entire street, there will also be disruption in The Wash, Bull Plain and Salisbury Square.
The scheme includes resurfacing with granite stone, the removal of parking spaces in Bull Plain and replacement with trees, relocation of the bus stop in The Wash to outside The Woolpack, a circular paving feature in Maidenhead Street at the entrance to the library; and gates to restrict vehicle access to Maidenhead Street.
