Hertford In Bloom is back

For a fifth year, mental health charity Mudlarks and florist Love Flowers are staging a Hertford in Bloom competition, inviting residents, schools, community groups, and local businesses to improve of the town with floral dusplays.

The competition is open to everyone in the SG13 and SG14 postal areas and there are 10 categories to choose from.

  • Best Front Garden (over 3 metres)
  • Best Small Garden Frontage or Balcony (under 3 metres)
  • Best Public House, Hotel, Guest House,
  • Best Café or Restaurant
  • Best Shop or Business
  • Best Hanging Basket/Planters/ Window Box
  • Tallest Sunflower (under 16’s)
  • Best School Garden
  • Best wildlife or Environmental Plot (including Allotments)
  • Best Community Accommodation, Care Homes, Nursing House or Senior Citizen Complexes

The competition is open to everyone from novices to professional gardeners, with judging taking plae in July.
