A development of 51 family homes and 17 flats south of the town centre is well under way with some homes already occupied.

The Limsi Grove site in Mangrove Road is being developed by Cala Homes on a parcel of land between Ashbourne Gardens and Mangrove Drive.
The 68 homes include 17 affordable properties representing 40% of the total build in line with council planning policy.
The site is one of five identified in the 2018 District Plan, including Blakemore Manor - a development of 254 homes currently under way to the west of Thieves Lane.
Other sites for proposed housing appear to have been held up by viability concerns, including 342 homes west of Sele Farm at Archers Spring and 375 new homes on the former gas works in Marshgate Drive.
Elsewhere, the construction phase of the Bircherley Green redevelopment is now complete and will deliver 98 new homes as well as commercial space and a doctors' surgery.
To the east of the town centre, 49 homes are also being built in Tamworth Road.
Limsi Grove is named after Ralph de Limesi, a tenant-in-chief of William the Conquerer and founder of Hertford Priory around 1087.
