Bengeo roadworks to cause delays

Saturday 22 January 2022

Delays are expected in Port Hill From Monday (24th January) as work starts to repair retaining walls on the west side of the carriageway.

The main road from Bengeo in to the town will see temporary traffic lights in place for up to 14 weeks as contractors refurbish the walls.

The pedestrain footway on the west side of the hill is raised above the road, with the retaining walls keeping it in place.

The works are being carried out by contractor Osborne for Hertfordshire County Council and should be complete by 8th April 2022.
