Developers are holding a public exhibition and consultation on proposals for approximatekly 450 new homes on the site of the former gas works to the east of Mashgate Drive.

The proposal for a mixed use development of homes and employment space is being put forward by developers working with site owner National Grid.
The site includes the former gas works, land currently occupied by Norbury Fencing and the area to the south that was offices used by National Grid.
The exhibition wil take place at The Millbridge Rooms in The Wash from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 23rd June, where the public will be able to view plans, as questions and give feedback.
Following the consultation, a formal planning application will be submitted to the District Council.
The area is designated as housing land in the draft District Plan.
