A woman has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car whilst walking her dog.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the incident on Tuesday afternoon (15th December).
At around 1.40pm, a woman was walking her dog along Wadesmill Road, when she was involved in a collision with a silver Honda Jazz between Bengeo and the Anchor Lane roundabout north of Ware.
The pedestrian, aged in her 60s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance. Her dog was not injured. The motorist stopped at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
PC Ross Clark from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "I'm appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened or saw the pedestrian or vehicle in the moments before the collision to please get in touch.
"If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam please check your footage and get in touch if you have captured anything that you believe may assist our enquiries.
