A man has been arrested and released on bail following the discovery of a body in woodland next to Hornsmill Road.

Police were called on Saturday evening and cordoned off the area. A white tent was also visible in the trees near to the road.
In a statement. a spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said "Police were called at 9.35pm yesterday evening (Saturday, May 26) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in woodland off Bullocks Lane, Hertford. Officers immediately attended the scene and their priority at this time is to establish the circumstances around the incident. A scene guard has been put in place and enquiries are continuing."
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, with a post-mortem due later in the week.
