The new mayor of Hertford was installed at a ceremony at County Hall on yesterday, Thursday 16th May.
Cllr.Rosemary Bolton takes over the role from Beryl Wrangles, who served the civic year 2018-19.
Cllr.Bolton represents Kingsmead ward on both the town and district councils. She is also a magistrate and was a govenor of Presdales School in Ware for 12 years.
The role of mayor is largely symbolic, the main function being to represent the town at civic occasions and events held by the town's schools, clubs and charitable organisations.
