Google Earth/Maps updated
I see the images on Google Earth have been updated. The pictures now appear to be from around 2006. The fair/circus has gone from Hartham. Millmead way is now complete (was previously under construction) and The Waterfront build has started.

Not by much though, Newland Gardens is still an industrial estate.

Interesting. Newland Gardens was completed before The Waterfront even got planning permission. I'm now looking for the "join" where the old photos meet the updated ones.
Update: If you compare the angle of the shadow cast by Focus/Matalan with homes on the corner of Mead Lane/Marshgate Drive, they are different. There also seem to be areas of what look like double-exposure around Tesco and the homes to the north of Ware Road.

Just had a look, the flat roofed house on Port Hill behind the Hillside does not seem to be there and the houses opposite the Greyhound on Bengeo Street are a building site.......

Brace yourselves - about 2 or 3 months ago my daughter followed the Google 3D camera van down St. Andrew's Street - It's only a matter of time!
ps - as I'm only just moving to Hertford I don't know if this is common knowledge or not - You lot may already know about this!

In the Google Earth sidebar - Layers section - make sure you've got "Places of Interest -> Pubs/Clubs" ticked.
I suspect the White Horse comments were made during the pubs "difficulties" last year.

Just realised I was being an *rse and looking at Google Maps instead of Google Earth.
