Anyone else heard that the Warren House will close and be turned into flats?

It may or not be true, but do you dobbin, as a very new Licencee to the immediate locality think it politic to post rumours about your competitors …? Let us know your thoughts about the future of the White Lion, Greyhound & the Robin Hood….

I do not think that The Warren House is a competitor at all. Different clientele entirely. But we have already been down this route some months ago.
C.P. you have obviously misinterpreted the original post and jumped in with both feet without thinking first. We CAMRA members consider it extremely sad that pubs are closing every day, and as active South Herts branch members we need to provide feedback to CAMRA HQ via the branch.
The same question would have been asked where ever we were, so our recent move does not enter into the equation. Did you know that at least 26 public houses close every month, many of which are turned into housing?
Also, as dobbin is the creator and webmaster for the Hertfordshire On line Pub Guide (
http://www.pubs.hertsale.org.uk/GetPubsByLocation.php,) he needs to be able to update it as and when necessary to prevent the guide being out of date at any time.
By the way dobbin is a licensee, not a licencee!! I know, before anyone comments - pedant!!!!

Anywaay... back on topic. Having witnessed a crowd of men and women having a jolly set of almost fisticuffs and olympic levels of screaming and swearing at each other for at least 10 minutes this evening, most of which occurred around The Warren, if The Warren closed and went to housing it would be nice to get some ability to park within 100 yards of home when a match is on. On the positive side, this is the only incidence (not the parking!) that we've seen in 4 years. Let's hope it doesn't become a regular occurrence...!
