Beane Road - Steptoe's Yard?
Is it just me or is the field opposite Hertford North car park taking on a distinctively similar appearance to Steptoe's Yard? For those too young to remember said programme...what a mess!!! Great welcome for any newcomers emerging from the station! How does one get anything done about it? It's an eyesore!!

I pass it every morning on my way to the station, and you're right, it is looking more and more of a mess lately. Even the horses look depressed! The shrubs along the pavement are also very overgrown and dangerous to passers-by. I've put in a complaint to the Council on their online complaints site and they were very prompt in letting me know that they're looking into who owns the land so that they can ask them to cut the bushes back - I even got a couple of phone calls from them to let me know what was happening. Perhaps you could make a similar complaint online about the state of the fields generally?

The debate referred to in the link above seemed to get side-tracked into one about King's Meads, which, as was pointed out, is a different area. Anybody know anything about the ownership of the land next to Beane Road?
