I see from The Mercury that a company named Parliament Leisure are to take over the old Zeros nightclub and re-open it as a bar, restaurant, film club and music venue. They were granted a licence by the council on Friday. Does anyone know anything more about this?

I overheard the new owner talking to a group of women who were sitting outside Cafe Rouge a couple of weeks ago. He was telling them that the venue will be aimed a an older market than Zeros was.

Sounds interesting a nice bar/restaurant would be good for the town. Does anyone know when the new hotel might be completed? Isn't that due to have a bar as well?

Having driven past recently there seems to be a lot of work going on but I haven't read or seen anything about an opening date, that was all. [:)] I see it is going to be a bar and restaurant, hopefully a touch above the Merchant House from my last experience and from the post on another thread [:(]
