ENTRANCE FEE 2005/2006 For info: there will be a £5.00 general entrance fee for all Hertford RFC 1st XV home league games at Hoe Lane this season but Club members provided they show their 2005/2006 membership card at the entrance gate will only have to pay £3.00 and that will include a programme. Somewhere near the bar or looking for it.

Hi i'm a lifelong Saracens supporter, but tempted to check out a Hertford match when not in the mood to travel to Watford. What time do Hertford usually KO?

Well thinking about Hertford on a Sat and Sarries on the Sunday! My idea of a top wk end, presuming they are playing mostly on Sundays that is but would guess so.

Think its £3 for the programme Spitfire so members pay £3 whatsever, £5 non-members, so no more splitting the programme fee!! Did'nt see it , but told not a brill performance today. Hell a win is a win... (incidently hope you okay..& up for next home game!)

Thanks CP, hopefully should be ok for the next game. Hope they have enough programmes this season, It was quite frequent last season they ran out. Can't see members being too happy paying 3 quid a shot and not getting anything for it, still an easy way to raise more cash!

One might say that for your measly £3 or £5 you get to see a good standard of National League rugby - the programme, for what it's worth, is purely coincidental. Somewhere near the bar or looking for it.

But would they care? They went there paying the new prices. If they knew the old prices beforehand and were aggrieved they wouldn't go.

(No programme supplied - current prices at Bedford for an Adult is £16 for the stand & £12 for the ground). For any club, especially an "amatuer" club like Hertford RFC to survive at any level it needs funding and the entrance fee IMHO is justified - frankly whether you get a programme (which also comes at some cost to print) thrown in or not. As someone who has been a regular Saracens supporter for all my life including pre-pro days at bramley road in Southgate, I have as a supporter experienced the fluctuating entrance fees. At Saracens children always got in for free at Bramley Road, adults had a low entrance fee of around £5. When we moved to Enfield Town football club that all changed and again when we moved to Watford. The way I saw it was that I was paying for what I got, in the old days! the players earnt nothing directly and so, any amount made out of the up to 2000 strong crowd most probably went on upkeep of ground etc... as this started to change so did the entrance fees. I was paying more but I was also seeing more! (Michael Lynagh, Phillipe Sella) Saracens winning (a few games) etc etc... IMHO well worth the increase and the charges you find at Saracens today may seem a lot, but compare them to top flight football prices! As someone looking to start watching Hertford on occasions, I am happy to pay £5 considereing the level they play at and should they continue their progression I would be happy to pay more than that! For the record I am certainly not someone that has money to throw about!
