Saturday sees Hertford at home Ruislip in the FA Cup. Ruislip recently won 5-0 so should be an interesting game - I'm disappointed I can't make it. Monday sees the first local derby with Hertford visiting Ware in the AMT. However, if either of their games on Saturday ends in a draw that game will be postponed as the replays are on Tuesday night.

What has happenned to Hertford this season? So nearly promoted last season and mid-table obscurity seems to be beckoning this season. Even Ware are above us!! I mean, COME ON!!! Maybe I should come out of retirement and take over between the sticks.

In the lower leagues you get a lot of change in between seasons and even mid season.

Last season's team was, apparently, beyond what the club could realistically afford. The team is being rebuilt on a smaller budget. These things take time as well as being hampered by the short-term nature of many squads at this level. Due to other commitments I've been unable to make many games. Hopefully that'll change in the new year - however they're playing it's still an entertaining afternoon out.

I see in the home programmes, that they are asking for kit sponsorship for the players, ie £5 for socks, £2 for laces, £xxx for shorts etc., The lower sponsorship deals are available to children only!!!!!!!

This weekend sees the Wareites coming to town, I believe a draw or victory will see Hertford progress to the quarter finals of the Associate Members Trophy. An opportunity for you all to support your local team.

The Wareites will also be seeking revenge after our narrow victory over them in the reverse fixture! This time however they will be slight favourites if they can continue their current form and discover some discipline, although as is the case with many derbies the 'form book' and 'discipline' will fly out the window. So i'm expecting a pretty passionate and messy affair this saturday, a nice little appetiser for the boxing day bout!

I went to the game, Hertford won 4-1, it was a good game.Good sized crowd aswell, good atmosphere.I will go to the Boxing day game between Hertford and Ware, what time does the game start?

I think the kick-off time for the boxing day encounter has been penciled in for midday, thus leaving plenty of time for the journey to the relatives and turkey leftovers! Sorry about the noise Ewoowar, must have been a westerly blowing, hope we didn't sound too out of tune.
