Hertford Cricket Club

Just to round off the sporting weekend fixture list, here is the information about the local team's matches up at Balls Park (it is the cricket season after all![:)]): Saturday - 1st XI .v. Harpenden, Saracens Herts League Div. 1 fixture, starts 1.00pm Sunday - 1st XI .v. Broxbourne, Herts Cup semi-final, starts 1.00pm Free entry but the bar doesn't open until a person with the keys turns up. If he's playing, you'll have to wait until he's off the field! The television will be on in the clubhouse showing the test match, though![8D][8D][8D]

There might not be a lot of play here Saturday afternoon/evening, depends on how much rain gets this far east. Sunday looks better, though showery.

For the record, Saturday's game was rained off and Sunday's was rain affected. Hertford won a nail-biter by one wicket with 7 balls to spare against Broxbourne from Div. 3. Almost an upset but now through to the final on 4th September at Shenley cricket centre.
