Travelling Monkeys
People I tell about this think I'm stark raving mad...
Did anyone else see the travelling monkeys wearing huge backpacks (a la sherpas) in the town centre yesterday. I'm kicking myself for not taking any photos of them.

Steve,
You are not going mad - I saw them too, climbing in Waitrose trollies then popping into Methuens. I did manage to take a couple of piccies just to prove my sanity [:o)]

Were there any TV cameras following them?

No cameras anywhere in evidence (apart from Tigger that is!)

I expect footage will surface on a comedy programme such as 'Trigger Happy TV'. A lot of the 'sketches' on Trigger Happy TV were based upon throwing something very odd into otherwise very normal situations and filming them secretly to capture peoples reactions. The monkeys seem to fit the bill perfectly.

I think anyone who was there would find this difficult to believe. They weren't behaving in a provocative manner and their appearance would not fit in with your theory either. Maybe if Tigger gives permission I could publish a photo.

I agree. I didn't see the monkeys. I am assuming that they were people dressed in monkey outfits. I should wait for the photos.

Were they trying to be friendly?
As long as they're too busy singing to put anybody down then that's fine by me.

I note they are outside Serendipity. Perhaps they had gone for a cup of tea.

I love the looks of total bemusement on the faces of the people behind!
