No affiliation and used to hate my kids going in there but its a shame to see one of the longer term tenants of Bircherly Green leave. They may open elsewhere in town of course; prepare for a Christmas pop up shop in its place.

What a great shame, I have got many accessories there for stage shows etc, etc but I can understand why it might be going.. we're just not shopping at the moment.. except for gadgets.. what a sad lot we are...

I've heard on good authority that this is the work of a greedy landlord. The lease was up for renewal and the landlord accepted a higher offer. Claire's Accessories did not want to close! What a shame, my 2 girls will be most upset as it's their favourite shop! With other units that have been empty for some time e.g. MacDonalds, Oddbins, you would think the greedy idiots who own these places would lower their demands on rent but it seems they would rather let them stay empty, which is strange economics.
