Comet Ison
Nothing really to do with Hertford but for the next few weeks, Comet Ison will be in the sky, sometimes available through the naked eye.

It's only visible before dawn for the next few days before it disappears into the suns glare. At present it's magnitude 5.2 which is only just visible to the (good) naked eye. Once it's swung round the sun at 845,000 mph (and remains intact hopefully) it should provide a nice display from mid-December til mid-January.
Weather looks good for a 5.30 am view for the next two days, he says tempting fate [B)]
