Chadwell Way Sculpture Trail

I appreciate that this (is in the main) a Hertford site but can someone explain why people feel the need to steal things that are the projects born of schools and made by children. Lots of these sculptures have been stolen and Number 23 has now been 'removed' from Kings Mead, Hertford. http://www.waretourism.org.uk/trail_%20map.html http://www.waretourism.org.uk/Sculpture%20trail%20leaflet.pdf [:(]

I'll answer your question just as soon as I've cracked whether the Pope is a catholic and why bears dump in the woods.

What surprises me is that those who perpetrate these thefts must also be the sort of people who would walk these country paths. That just doesn't sit right with me.

I didn't even know that this sculpture route existed! I had spotted No. 28 and had wondered that it was there for....now I know!

I tried to find all these last year. At the time I got stuck on the following. Has anyone seen them? 3. Owl - Amwell churchyard in yew tree 7. Human Duck - New River 8. The Person Who Had a Shed On It's Body - New River 12. Bat - Priory Garden 14. The Fisherman - Priory Garden 15. Dolphin - Priory Garden (edge of Lea?) 17. Bride - St Mary's Churchyard? Tudor Sq? 18. Cat - Tudor Square 26. Magical Tree - path down to Hartham Common. Trunk of a tree next to the path down the hill close to a big dead tree opposite 27. Girl - Branch of a tree on Hartham common near bridge over River Beane 30. Beaky - Up in the tree near the pebble stone Hertford Castle Sad that Crab Claw man has gone. I know 19. Norse Invaders - Lea New Gauge had been stolen and 22. Mr MiniBody - New River bridge below A10 - Only his feet are left!
