Horses
Crossing Gasgoyne Way yesterday there was a small Pony and Trap being forced to go at speed by the guy hanging off the side of a 4x4 next to the Pony being very closely followed at the rear by a truck obviously having some kind of race. They were going down the centre thus not allowing any other traffic. Good job it was a quite day on the roads. Off back towards Hatfield I presume [:(!]

Actually Tigger they were heading towards the Old Barge where ay least six pony and traps were parked in The Folly; bring out the bucket and shovel along Folly Bridge. Then returning later from the OXT found said same P&T's parked in the green space next to Castle Hall. When next you hear of the A414 or A10 being blocked it will probably be a gypsy horse race - popular sites in the past. But as the A10 is restrictd to 40mph maybe not.

I was driving along Gasgoyne Way in the other direction as this was going on, & thought I was seeing things! The group split, with some going into the town centre, and others carrying on (including the 4x4 man) along Gasgoyne Way.

It hasn't - It's the Thread on Horses although I suppose now it could be bars and pubs as that seemed to be there mission. Apparently there we a high contingincy in the Herts Horns
