The case of the missing N

Shame about the typo on the front of Sally Newton's local election blurb...[:)]

At least she got some leaflets out, we only had hers (2) and the Conservative candidate but no others so no ideas on who else is standing except what has been put in the Mercury...................

We got two from her, didn't notice the missing N, one from labour and two identical leaflets within 10 minutes l;ast night from the Tories. UKIP apparently don't want to tell us their local policies, what a shock.

A Tory candidate has broken cover on the sister site Ware Online. He's the incumbent and gets less and less impressive by each post. Perhaps the optimum strategy for all of these candidates is to keep as low a profile as possible and rely on party loyalty/prejudice/antipathy to carry the day.

Not only didn't the ukip leaflets omit to mention any local issues whatsoever but they didn't even mention the name of their own candidate! They seemed to have more to say about Romania than Hertford.

Does anyone know why Sally Newton deselected by the Conservatives?

We have had no leaflets, I don't even know who the choices are so I think I shall go for the name I like the most of depending on my mood later #128563;!!

And ironically, the UKIP candidate for St. Andrews doesn't even live in Hertford. Bloody ousiders, coming here taking jobs from our hard working councillors.

I usually decide who gets my vote based on my own ignorance, prejudice and bias rather than someone else's.

If I read it right Sally lost narrowly, probably some people vote by party rather than candidate................

I also believe that there was some criticism over the handling of her husbands conviction…

So 15% of the electorate voted for Ruffles and 9% for Stevenson.
