Local election - May 2nd
Sally Newton is standing as an Independent candidate in the forthcoming election. She is currently walking the streets of Bengeo putting her leaflets through letter boxes and having a chat if with people who stop her. I think I'll vote for her because local elections are about the people not the politics to my mind

Make sure you ask her about the attempts to cut council funding for one AIDS charity in favour of one of which she was the chair and which was also the mayoral charity choice when she was the Mayor.

Not had anything from any other candidates so far so don't even know who is standing against her!
At least she has got her leaflet out so you know she is standing.
