Hertford Town FC vs Tring 3pm Saturday 9th Feb
Hertford Town FC have a strengthened squad with more local players.
This Saturdays match will be a great test of our progress this year as we were hammered 6-0 by Tring at their ground earlier this season........I fancy our new squad to get a result.
So come and support the blues as they fight their way out of the relegation zone. We are third from bottom and two get relegated. Could this week be the start of our recovery?

Tickets are £6. £2 for pensioners and £1 for U16s.

I really would like to come and support Hertford Town but after years of being a season ticket holder at a North London team that play in red and white I just don't think I could support a team which play in blue :(

The chairman and his 2 sons are Arsenal fans, as is the cleaner and one of our cooks so you will feel at home. If it helps our away strip is red ( well red and black actually so I guess that is no good for you either!). Our committee also have Spurs fans (me), one West Brom and one Southend.......so when The goners (sorry gooners) are playing away.....try us out - I guarantee the banter will be good!

Hertford Sporting Teams 2 Tring Sporting Teams 0....both the football and rugby teams of Hertford beat the best Tring had to offer...Hertford the better sporting town...FACT ;)

A well deserved victory and a very entertaining game. We were solid at the back. Controlled the midfield and menacing up front. We got stronger as the game went on thanks to the hard work the coaches and players have put in on the training pitch - even in the snow when players cars got stranded in the car park.
Kardan Campbell has been our best player in recent weeks (Gerrardesque in central midfield) and he towered over everyone to put us one up in first half. Lewis Donovan was my MoM. He got a few decent crosses in from the left wing in first half and he headed the second goal from a perfect cross from Mitchell Palmer in the second half. They were both making their home debut. New players are getting fitter and playing better together with every match. Tommy Wade and Mark Summers up front ran the Tring defence ragged and were unlucky not to get a goal each.
We had 5 very strong players on the subs bench. First time we have had a settled squad all season. And they really seem to gel together on and off the pitch. The future is looking very good for HTFC. It's been a tough season but Marvin Samuel (manager) and Mickey Leslie (assistant manager) are proving if you keep working hard and stick to your principles you get the results in the end.

Good post LoucasX...Things are looking very promising for the remainder of this season and beyond...the emphasis on local players is very encouraging as is the attendance figure of 101...
