Train Incident. Identification needed
I've copied a section of a twitter timeline of train passenger who was subject to sexual harrassment on a Broxbourne to Hertford train late last night.
The suspect is clearly identifiable from some of the pictures, as is the nature of the offence which is why I haven't published here.

Not a great post enoughofthat; posting a link to the young lady in question with all of her pictures?
If you have a criminal claim, take the photos of the suspect to the police. I wouldn't be happy if twitter pictures of my family were posted here as you have done.
In fact, Admin should delete the post asap, even removing her name.

I did consider this but the fact is that she has posted all of this publicly on her Twitter feed, which has over 7000 followers.

James........what a bizarre response.
The victim has already made the images available to the world via twitter. The only issue would be if it was a malicious posting, i.e. the man had done nothing but was the victim of a prank, or a malicious post falsely accusing him of something.
I too would not be happy if twitter pictures of a member of my family were to be posted and associated with such an act. But it would definitely trigger a response and I would speak to them or the police.

My view on this is two-fold: People need to be careful when naming individuals; the tweeter has every right to transfer that information to Twitter.
However her name has been published here, not his. She is claiming to be a victim prior to any police investigations and conviction.
If something or nothing comes from this event, the power of copy-and-paste comes under the spotlight and frankly might become a witch-hunt before any criminal court.
If the male is guilty, the law will deal with it.
If no case is brought or the male's case is thrown out, then the female still will have her picture and her name on the internet and this forum, regardless of her Twitter numerous followers.
Maybe she asked for her name to be made public on this forum?
Regardless of that, naming a victim before conviction isn't right in my opinion ON THIS FORUM. The Mercury hasn't named her as they know the impact and outcome from a court case.

A man has now been charged in connection with this incident.
Thuwarakan Uthayakumaran of Wembley has been charged with sexual assault and exposure. He will appear at North and East Herts Magistrates Court on Friday 17th August.
