Torch Relay and shops
Not sure if this is the right place but I was told in Lloyds bank that they are closing during the torch relay on Saturday, opening before and after I think, didn't really take it in as I will not be in town on Saturday but just thought it is worth mentioning that some other places may close for the duration of the run.

Its good to hear that the employers are letting their staff take some time to watch the event (I presume). I saw the flower beds, verges etc. near to Bluecoats were being tidied up today, about time too but sure its for the benefit of the cameras on Saturday. Lets hope the weather stays fine.

As Lloyds are one of the main Olympic sponsors, I think it would look very bad if their own staff are not able to witness these events. They probably only need to close for 30-60 minutes anyway.
