Hertford man in Hitler's bunker!

I found superb VA Day story and an important piece of history for Hertford in today's Hertfordshire Mercury (page 3). Apparently it was a local gentleman who recovered the famous telegram from hitler's bunker: "ONE of the first British spies to enter Hitler's bunker in 1945 was a Hertford man, the Mercury can exclusively reveal." http://www.herts-essex-news.co.uk/news/mercury/hertfordshire_mercury/2005/05/13/revealed%20hertfords%20man%20in%20hitlers%20bunker.lpf

I heard that the F�hrer's bunker in Berlin actually linked to the Hertford and Ware tunnels.... *ahem* [}:)]
