CHIPs 10km Charity Walk
CHIPs http://www.chipsplay.org/ is a a local charity that runs playschemes for children (and their siblings) with additional needs.
We are planning a 10km charity family walk on Sunday 29th April. The walk will start at Wodson in Ware. It will form a figure of 8 so, families can choose to walk either 5km or the full 10km. Dogs (on leads) are also welcome. At the end of the walk you will receive a certificate and a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
If you and your family would like to take part you can download a application form from the website. There are also forms available in various local shops in Ware and Hertford.
We look forward to seeing you.

Hello all,
Another update on the CHIPs walk.
We now have 150 registered walkers so, please feel free to come and swell our numbers! We would be delighted to see you.
As well as the cake and tea on offer we will also have a raffle with some lovely prizes.
One thing that we are missing is an air horn! Does anyone have one we could borrow for a few hours? (Sunday 29th April)
Many thanks

The walk is ON! [8D]
Despite the wind and rain we will be meeting at Wodson Park from 12.30 for registration. At 1.15pm there will be a warm up and safety briefing. We will be off at 1.30pm.
If you haven't already regsitered but, would like to join us there are still a limited number of places available - simply turn up and let us know.
Many thanks to the many many people who have helped organise and fund this charity walk (Wodson Park, Ensum Brown, Tesco, Mobas, the CHIPs HQ team and Nordic Walking UK).
Wish us luck!

Now that all the counting has been done and the deep heat has been applied(!) we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who turned out last Sunday. We would also like to thank those who sponsored them.
It was not the best of "walking days". We had torrential rain, wind, mud, puddles and even some sunshine [8D]. Despite the inclement weather, it was still smiles all round as all the walkers were duly rewarded with a cup of tea and a slice of delicious cake. We also had some amazing raffles prizes on offer.
And the grand total? In excess of £6,500. A stunning amount. We are in awe, shocked and delighted. This sum will make such a difference to the children we work with. So once agian, from the CHIPs team
"THANK YOU"
