Buttercup Tea Room
Yesterday, we decided as a change from the usual pubs etc to visit the new Buttercup tea room in Chapmore End for a snack lunch.
This delightful venue which is actually part of the proprietors barn home was a pleasant surprise. We sat on the patio area surrounded by hanging baskets and pots of begonias for our really tasty sandwich lunch.
A great place, with wonderful home made food which really deserves to succeed. We shall certainly go back soon.

We found it from the Axis magazine article.. Its says in there open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.

Haven't been myself but my friend had tea and cakes and said it was nice but not great value for money.

Not being put off by the comments from Rachel's "friend" we decided upon another lunch time visit to this delightful tea room.
We found the food as good as ever, certainly good value for money, comparing favourably with the many similar establishments we have visited this year.
Friendly staff and the outstanding floral displays around the outdoor eating area made this somewhere we would certainly recommend and visit again.

Erm...not wishing to cast any aspersions on your comments, but are you by any chance connected to the establishment as your praise seems very lavish?

Despite a sign outside saying it's open from 11am on Sundays, it isn't, as the stream of disgruntled cyclists being turned away at 11.40 yesterday bore witness to. It opens later and only for pre-booked Sunday lunches, you can't just drop in for tea and cake on Sundays. There's no website yet but the owner said it's under construction.
