Miss Boon Pan
I've received a leaflet that seems to suggest that Miss Boon Pan has either moved to operating from the Prince of Wales in Hertingfordbury or from that location in addition to Parliament Square.
The website has no mention of the change though.

The owner sold the business to a Thai couple.
Whether he is running a new venture at The Prince of Wales I don't know, but the Parliament Square business is effectively new (if you know what I mean).

I went here at the at the weekend. It has new owners and its not called Miss Boon Pan anymore (same menu though) but I can’t recall the new name.
Anyway thoughts:
It was poor.
Firstly, the guy serving (a non-Thai European guy) insisted on everything being ordered by menu # and not by name (it’s not the end of the world but I do like to at least try) and he seemed very disorganised, unwelcoming and almost oozed “I hate this job”. It may be a take-away but the buying experience was awful.
I dislike those white, cheap prawn crackers. All the Thai’s in Hertford (and Miss Boon previously) sell Thai Crackers which I prefer as they have a lot more flavour, crunch and spice. This had the cheap prawn crackers, and strangely rather soggy.
Chicken Satay – the chicken was actually ok but the peanut sauce was liquid. I imagine it sort of should be like slightly more liquid peanut butter but this was a beige water with no peanut chunks in at all. It also came with a weird thick clear liquid that was like water and sugar and nothing else.
Green Thai Curry – this was ok too, nice level of spice but perhaps it’s just my experiences but does Green Thai usually have loads of broccoli in it (which I don’t like)?
Rice – plain, impossible to mess up and it was fine.
I'm assuming the new owners bought this as a going concern but they just don’t do the same level of food whilst maintaining the prices that MBP did. I won’t go again and will instead get take-away from Baan or Old Siam.

How do you know?
When Miss Boon pan opened there were sceptical comments about them buying in pre-made dishesand microwaving them but then I saw them cooking fresh downstairs.

Because mine was made in under 10 mins with clingfilm underneath the plastic lid that it was in... 100% sure that it had been.

With respect Louis, a number of restaurants including Old Siam put cling film under the lid of certains dishes to stop any chance of the juices leaking out during transport. Take away containers do not always seal perfectly. I would think it highly unlikely that they microwave the food. I expect it is cooked fresh. It is not in my interests to say this.

Do what I did at Miss Boon Pan when it first opened........ask to see them cooking.

Or perhaps you consider my approach demonstrates a deep rooted psychological disorder. Oh dear.........how unfriendly.
Frankly, if you think the food is microwaved rather than fresh and view this as a reason not to return then that's your call. But if you want to know whether it is or not then check it out.
