Has anyone tried Go Go Pizza in Ware Road? It's in the same parade as Simmons bakers and the trophy shop. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! Medium sized pizza for £4.95....knocks Pizza Express in to a cocked hat ! The shop is spotlessly clean and the staff polite and courteous. And they deliver locally ! Give it a try ! Doubtless Steve will tell me that pages have been written on this ?!?

Have to agree. Not quite up to the late lamented Fat Jacks , but pretty good & better than anything else in town.

The only comparison between Pizz Express and Go-Go is surely the price. The pizzas are completely different is style and Go-Go is much more like Dominos. I would compare Pizza Express with Ask.

Pizza Go Go make consistently GOOD pizzas at a reasonable price; albeit you can't eat them on the premises. Within reason they will create whatever you ask for. Pizza Express create consisently AVERAGE pizzas. If you're seduced by a high st location and high prices....TOUGH LUCK !

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but don't places like Dominoes and Go Go make American pizzas, rather than the Italian pizzas you get at ASK or Pizza Express?

Correct - as did Fat Jack's Pizza Shack in Ware when it was open a few years ago. Planet Foods in Mimram Road makes American pizzas too and delivers locally. [:)]

Planet foods also do a belly buster 28" square pizza. So big that they can even make it in to four mini pizza's but still on the same base. And what's even better is that they also do Indian food in the same place (under a sperate name, Memsaab)

Go-Go pizzas are great, really good flavour and a nice thin base which is more akin to an Italian pizza. Service is excellent and you can order online too. The only downside is that some of the meatier versions can be a bit too greasy, but it does come down to which toppings you go for. Ask do the closest to a proper Italian pizza (very thin crispy base) and while Domino do the thin crust, it's a bit 'plasticy' and doesn't come close to Ask. Dominos regular pizzas are too stodgy and doughy for us. Chicago pizza is a deep pan atrocity with more filling than dough. We had one in Chicago and never, never again.

Agreed Tiger.1000. I have joined this forum JUST to agree with you on this one. I use GO GO regularly and as take away pizzas go, they're the best. When Pizza Express get it right, their pizzas are v nice (although too pricey). However, 8 times out of 10 their take away pizzas have such mean amounts of toppings on, it's like eating a bit of dry cardboard. Go Go are consistently excellent and the staff are polite and helpful.

I'm interested to hear how others feel about the comparison of Go Go with Domino. We haven't tried Go Go yet but I find Domino disappointing and very expensive. I'm not sure why I don't like them - they seem to have a reasonable amount of topping. Is it something to do with the delay between oven and stomach?

We tried Go Go last week after reading this thread and were very impressed with the pizzas delivered; very tasty, well cooked and generous toppings. Usually use Dominos but I think we will now change to Go Go as long as the quality is maintained!
