The Millstream, Port Vale.
Pleasantly surprised with a good meal at our 'local' on Saturday. Good cooking, excellent service and creative presentation.
As we were the only diners there on a very wet, dismal evening, the ambience in the restaurant left alot to be desired, but this location really deserves a positive mention on this forum.

Hertford's best kept secret both as a friendly pub and a restaurant . They would have been more than happy to let you eat in the pub if the conservatory was empty Arty .
The restaurant ambience is at it's best for Sunday lunch .

In fairness, the pub was offered, but we were too indecisive - as you are, before you've had a drink!

Agree Bubba! It's a great place for food, much of it locally sourced. Their fish weekends are excellent.

I went in there for lunch today. Really good service. I had the burger and my wife had a vegetarian pasta. They were both excellent and I and my wife are pretty critical when it comes to food.
A very enjoyable meal.
Highly recommend.

Pleased to hear that, but until they sort out the 1star they recently received for food hygiene, we won't be eating in there.

The wife and I had the Sri Lankan curry a couple of weeks back and that was superb. Very spicy but very tasty. Better that most curries i've tried in town.

My family all ate in here again last night and once again the food was top notch. If you have not already tried the sticky beef ribs, you must do!! Im salivating at the thought!
