Hertford RFC vs Army XV - Help For Heroes event.
I'm not sure which is the best section to post this in but it would be good to see the event well supported.

It was also nice to see the players out in Hertford last Saturday promoting the event when there is no gain for themselves at all.

As I keep telling anyone that will listen at the bar. It should be called 'Old Hertford now in Ware Rugby Club'. Or Ware Rugby Club for short.
As Gillespie Road tube station was re-named Arsenal after the local team, maybe someone could ask if Ware station could be re-named Hertford Really East, after another local team.

They used to be Old Hertfordians, set up by former pupils of what is now Richard Hale school and who had learned to play rugby there. They've had numerous home grounds such as the school, Rye House, Ware Road in Hoddesdon and Hartham Common before finally moving to the Hoe Lane address.
'Old Hertfordians' was eventually changed to 'Hertford' when the number of former Richard Hale pupils at the club dropped.
Next season Bury Rangers FC move onto pitches behind Presdales on the other side of Hoe Lane from Hertford RFC. Perhaps you would like them to change their name to Ware FC as well. ooops........there already is a Ware FC................just as there is already a Ware RFC.

It amazes me that people feel the need to hi-jack a topic on what hopefully will be a very well attended event for a highly deserved cause.
I certainly will be attending with my family and a number of friends and would ike to wish all the organisors all the best of luck.
This is the first event of this type I can remember that Hertford RFC have organised, so hopefully it will be a sucess and will be repeated for years to come.
