I love that list! Best time was when I saw a girl from my year at school, the funny part was she was voted most likely to end up in prision.

Wanted posters (of the type that the sheriff's deputy had to physically nail to saloon doors and cacti) only depicted public enemy No.1 type criminals. Now every gaucho who's failed to turn up for the most minor of offences can be seen. I wonder how well this bulk approach works. Once the page is closed, it's hard to remember any of the faces seen.

It amazes me that so many wanted are for failing to appear at court. I'm sure half of these would be bailed again by the courts if arrested. what a waste of our money. They could spend some putting a fag bin outside hertford magistrates.

What makes you sure? Is there any factual basis for you being sure?
Does it not depend on individual circumstances, such as the seriousness of the crime, the chances of them skipping bail again, their criminal background etc. Isn't banging-up petty criminals before they've been convicted a bigger waste of money than posting appeals for information on the police website?
I don't know the answer to any of these but I think they're questions worth asking.

It's a bit like the driver in a case I was a witness in, he pleaded guilty to having no driving licence.
The sentence - banned from driving.
