Children and the MMR injection
Do any of you parents know of any clinics or friendly GPs in the area who are willing to discuss/offer single injections rather than just the combined MMR vaccination?

I assume that you've seen the reports today about autism and the MMR jab. If not, it's the top story on the BBC News website Health section.
In answer to your comments, nobody in the NHS will recommend single injections (it's a disciplinary offence). You can either speak to your GP, health visitor or NHS Direct (0845 4647). I understand there are very few private establishments either that will offer them. One doctor in the south of the county who was offering single injections is currently under investigation for the way he was administering them.

Yes - I see a different report and a different conclusion every week. I'd just like some options.
I know that there are some GPs in other parts of the country who will offer it and who have not been struck off. I also know that the Elstree clinic has had problems but wondered if anyone knew of any alternative clinics.

My children have had single jabs. Ring the Breakspear Medical Group 01442 261333 in Hemel Hempstead £72 per jab. There is usually a 6-8 week waiting list. They will fill in your child development book with the necessary info for you to update your GP too.
Not cheap when you've got more than one to have vaccinated. Aaargh Tony Blair you make me want to scream.
