No Cinema in Hertford!
I am glad in a way that Hertford does not have a cinema. Having gone to UCI Hatfield the other week. Chav Kids everywhere with a security guard every 20 yards. If we had a cinema in Hertford then it would just be an attraction to idiots who like to "hang around" a bit like the people who think it is cool to hang around outside McDonalds in the high street. Imagine that and times it by 50!

We wouldn't have the problem with kids hanging around on street corners anywhere, if the streets were policed properly. When was the last time you saw bobbies walking down Maidenhead street telling the kids to move on? I have a pal that is waiting to go in to the force and has been for over a year now, but has been told they do not have any budget to take him on! Blah blah blah!
Alternativly phaps the Parents could take a stronger interest in where their children are at night, rather than sitting on the sofa stuffing pizza, drinking beer and watching Eastenders!

"Move on" isn't really the answer unless there is somewhere to move on to that doesn't just shift the issue to another part of the town. It needs more than that.

A "Chav" is a Burberry wearing, footballing wife type person (if you're female), designer label wearer with no class and no social upbringing, Colleen McGolgan the girlfriend of Wayne rooney and Posh Spice are Patron Saints!!! Don't know it applies to men as much.. but there you go! I think with or wihtout a cinema the kids hang around in Hertford, around train stations, bus stations, perhaps curfews would help, but their parents probably did the same so it won't be any good. I would like a cinema, but only slightly outside of the town, plenty of parking and not disturbing people late at night... hmmm

I suppose Stevenage or Hatfield are a bit too far to be classed as "Slightly" outside the town.

Now...on the rail users forum, some have suggested that a quick drive to Hatfield or Stevenage makes the journey to London easier, so it's obviously not too far out of town for some.
I say no to a cinema in Hertford for the Chav reason. Keep them all in Stevenage, Hatfield and Harlow and hope the rest stay in SHoddy.
