Hartham at night
The best thing about walking through Hartham in the still of night is that one only bumps into other nutters looking for Perseids and complaining about the size of the moon.
There are many towns in which I wouldn't walk through the public common after midnight!

Did you get to see anything? I couldn't from my garden. And had the usual rowdy teenage rabble gone home by then?

hartham is a jewel in hertfords crown
but
perhaps the teenagers in question,,should meet up ,,lets say,,parlament sq,,old cross,,market place,,etc etc,,rather than hartham dennis
seeing as there is absolutely nothing,,for TEENS to do in this town,,i think we are lucky that they have found hartham

They are now saying the meteor shower will be seen at its best TONIGHT, if you are out on Hartham. If it ever stops raining, could be quite spectacular [:0]

Between 2am and 4am according to the BBC website, although the clouds look to have scuppered that. I'm usually up making a bottle for the baby around then, so was looking forward to having a butchers out of the attic window.
Anyone know which direction we should be looking for the constellation of Perseus?

I've been told they will be to the North East. Will have to have a look for them tonight.

i had a quick look at 2.30am but it was lightly cloudy, and there was a lot of light reflection so didnt see anything.

I lay on a blanket in a field in Crouchfields last night looking but didn't see anything other than other people lying on a blanket in the same field although admittedly I didn't spot them until I saw their torch, as it was quite dark!

travel to the North East as there would be no cloud up there. [:)]
