Hertford 1 Ilford 1 Proper football No Craig Bellamy types (overpaid dummy flinger) crap muddy pitch..the best for real football, a chance to stand at a match..necessary to keep warm, and beer available pitchside. I really regret not having been earlier, if you like football then this is where its at, ok so it's lower league but its honest. If anyone has a few spare quid the club house could do with a re-build! Everyone is friendly and its only a fiver!! I'll be back!!

But the club house is a rebuild, the original burnt down in some very strange circumstances ten or so years ago. There's more honest football there tomorrow night in the East Anglian Cup.

Ah yes, I should be there tomorrow night again, and then again at the Ware game. Seen some cracking games (9-0, 4-3, etc.) and some cracking goals (30 yard volley, etc.) there these last two seasons. If you're there, come and introduce yourself to the "choir", there's at least two posters who are in that group.

...attended my first Hertford FC game at the weekend my self.... pitch looked like they took the cows off and put the players on. Nice cheap pint (£2), not too keen on the plastic glasses - but can see the point. I'll be back for the next Saturday home match. Piggin' cold is was tho'... NI-Lad

Sprocket I see that both you and I appear on the titles of the new improved Hertford Town web site. Admittedly it is a little blurred but does this mean I have successfully completed my apprenticeship?? I'll be there again on Saturday for the Ware game. Perhaps a fine opportunity for Ewoowar to venture down from his plateau?

The marquee has been erected for a wedding reception on saturday, and will be 'past tents' by sunday. Been called a lot of things before Sally, but never a 'little angel'...cheers, although smudge is pretty useful too [;)]
