Best hall to hire for baby class?
I am looking for some advice please. I am starting a new venture here in Hertford and i am currently looking at the local 'hall's to hire' on offer.
The classes (without me getting into trouble with admin for advertising) are for very young babies onwards so will be mat based initially. There will be anywhere between 6 and 10 Mummies/babies in each group.
We won't need space for 'equipment' as such, as the classes have a holistic approach and are sensory and musical based. Although we will need ample room to move, as the classes incorporate yoga and massage also.
Do you have any feedback, whether it be positive or negative on any experiences you may have had with halls in Hertford? I have in mind but i feel it is too far out and wondered would that put Mummies off if they needed to drive/get a bus.
My ideal is to find a hall that is based in the centre of Hertford and am currently in talks with two in particular, so any feedback would be very much appreciated and acknowledged.

the Children's hall in the little Annexe @ Sele School is available to hire. Can't remember how much they charge or what it's called off the top of my head, but I know my partner arranged a baby first aid class in tehre last year because she was fed up of waiting for advertised classes.

St Andrew's church has a hall at the rear of the church, which has a toddler group on a Thursday morning. Good size room, and there are loos with a change mat for babies.
All Saints church also has a hall along from Abel Smith school with it's own parking. I've never used any of the facilities other than the room itself.
Both are very central, but the All Saints hall has free parking whereas anyone driving to St Andrews would probably have to stay in the pay and display.
The selection centre which thefair is referring to is great; very modern and clean but a bit out of the way and you rely on the goodwill of the pub opposite to allow people to use their car park during the day.
I think the other NHS drop in centre in Bull Plain has now re-opened; I haven't been since it was re-furbished, but as it's used for baby weighing on Saturday mornings, I'm sure it's all geared up for your needs.

I was very interested to read about All Saints hall by Abel Smith, i didn't know about that one!
Yes agree with St. Andrew's-we attend that very toddler group! Lovely room but i always have a stress with the parking!
Thank you all very much-i will be making more enquiries Monday and hope to secure a venue or two by the end of next week!
If you know of any new babies 4-6 weeks plus, and their Mummies who would love to be part of my final training just for 'costs of the hall' please point them in my direction as this will be commencing very soon.
I really am very grateful for your kind help.

How about the Quaker rooms. Very close to the bus station and Bircheley Green parking. Reasonable rates, friendly people and always clean and tidy. I know, I clean it.[:D]
