Hertford Podcast available on itunes
The Hertford tourist podcast is now available on itunes thanks to John Barber.
Unfortunately the information about the correct order does not appear to be included so you get an alphabetical order which is a little random (oops)
Also 36 small episodes are a little tricky to download.
Still a good start.

Got these about 18 months ago - quality stuff - from memory the files are numbered rather than given specific titles - but anyone with a basic knowledge of the town can follow them - even this Irish man!

Can anyone out there can look at the xml file and tell me why despite all my best intentions I cannot get Itunes to list the chapters in order. They are headed such as '01 Chapter 1. Introduction' and so on. I've reversed the order so that itunes should list the last item updated first and even rewritten the time each file was created. Each time I ping Itunes and check the listing they've changed there's little change to the running order or the chapter titles. perhaps they take a few days to post amendments.
As it is listed in a random order its OK if you just want to dip in. The problem was that stitching together 36 separate mp4 files would make one single file too large to handle. It does work perfectly on my wife's own ipod when we go out to test the route and timings. But that was listed from the master copy.
Anyway I hope its enjoyed by residents and visitors alike and there's a pint waiting at the Old Barge for anyone who might have a idea of how to get Itunes to list the chapters consecutively from 01 to 36.
For SMT and others I'll post the running order here later.

Many thanks John - it's a lovely little tour.
I think I've worked out the order; I was confused as to where the chimneys were but had a look this morning [;)]
I did amend the titles on my own download to get them into order, but them when I actually uploaded them onto my iPod, it created another random order!!
Anyway, thanks again John - it's very interesting. I look forward to more in the future, if you get time!
