Planning application The Wash

I see in the Mercury there is a planning application to turn the flat above Twisted Rio and The bouqet into 2 flats, another at the back and if I read it right 3 in the outbuildings which where once stable I think. This is a listed bulding so it will be interesting to see what happens I guess they are hoping the work on the area by the river will make the whole area more accessable and desirable to live in.

True but they have to get planning first and on buildings of that age it is not easy..........and change of use I think.......

The more and more I look at those two shops, I think if you could get planning permission to knock the walls through, you could get a decent high street name to take that tenancy up.

They were joined when The Bouquet used both but as I understand it because of its listed building status you cannot take the complete wall down, just the two "doorway" sections, the main wall has to remain.

I see the Herald has been watching the forum I think the qouted Brockman from here, at least it was almost identical! They also suggected the want to turn the shops into flats which is not true the planning application is for the existing flat, rear area and outbuildings, the shops would remain as lock up units I think.
