Yellow Pages Recycling?
Spring has sprung (sorry - that will ensure snow next week..) and the new Yellow Pages are being distributed.
Can the old ones be put in the green bins?
Come to think about it - shouldn't the people who distribute Yellow Pages have a duty of care to take back the old ones - interesting green, or should I say yellow, thought...

You can pass them to several local schools who collect them as part of some kind of competition - think Bengeo might be doing it.

Better still, is there a way of stopping them coming? I don't know about anybody else, but I haven't opened one in years.

mine came out of the plastic and in to the recycling. NO idea why the distribute them as widely as they do. It should be an opt-in scheme. I do all my yellow pages searches online rather than dig out the book and search through it.

It says "Yellow pages - new material", so you might want to check your old ones. It certainly used to be the case that you couldn't recycle them this way.
