Electrician for house re-wire

Could anyone recommend an electritian that they have used lately? I am currently getting quotes for a complete re-wire for a 3 bed house. Would be good to hear from someone who has had the work done and was pleased with their chosen electrician also. I have searched back through the threads but could not find the old electrician threads. Thanks

Has he got his Part P for electrics? you cannot do any electrical without it! he then has to register the work.

I have used Antony before and was pleased with his work. I am just getting quotes in at the moment for what would be a messy expensive job. It seems that the prices do differ quite a lot so I am getting as many quotes as I can. Thanks

As long as the person carrying out the work informs building control and pays the relevent fee then they dont have to be part P registered. But ensure you ask the sparks before they start work what they will be doing to ensure correct paperwork will be issued. Enssential for both safety and when you come to sell the property.
