I have to complete a report over the next week and two issues that form part of this is salt/grit bins and benches. Coming nicely as it did last week the cold snap highlighted the lack of gritting bins around the town especially at Folly Bridge. There used to be a bin here but it was demolished in an accident and never replaced. I would assume that there are other similar streets around the town that would benefit from the placement of a grit/sand bin and any suggestions most welcome. Secondly I have highlighted the need for additional benches. Again suggestions where vandal proof benches could be placed for pedestrian rest very welcome. Now the official bit. This is only a recommendation. There is no guarantee that anything contained in this report will be undertaken. There is no specific budget either although there is possibly a fund which may be later identified. No one's name will be mentioned. Thanks.
