Card recycling isn't very well catered for in Hertford. According to http://www.wasteaware.org.uk these are the nearest to the centre of Hertford; Ware Household Waste Recycling Centre (3.76km) Cole Green Household Waste Recycling Centre (5.26km) Chaucer Way, Hoddesdon (5.38km)

Why are these distances quoted in kilometres? As far as I am aware,(unless the government has changed it overnight), the legal measurements in the UK are still measured in miles, yards, feet, inches, etc. Presumably yet another insidious attempt to 'Europeanise' us without us having any say in the matter

No just use of a sensible measurement system that has been taught in UK schools for many years and is used across the world apart from the USA and for some things in the UK where we have a complete mish mash of metric and imperial measurements.

Well, I know we are going completely off topic, but, the imperial measurements of distance are still the legal ones in the Uk, otherwise we would have speed limits in Kilometres etc.Whether it is sensible or not is far from the point! It's as bad as the BBC on teletext always quoting prices first in dollars, then euros, and as an afterthought in £SD.

your right it is a bit poor oh well. hoddesdon has one in sainsburys you see very handy! I guess it'll be cole green then, but have to wait until passing - dont see the point of making a special trip, otherwise surely the fuel used is much worse!
