New Eateries

Is Hertford defying the economic downturn? We have no less than five new eateries opening within just a few weeks: The Curry Centre The Proper Cornish Food Company Chez Gerard Dil's Restaurant Deco Granted, three of the premises were occupied by eateries before and one or two are little more than rebrands, but it does suggest a certain amount of confidence in the town IMHO.

I don't know where any of these restaurants are, except Chez Gerard - could someone please enlighten me, I'm not in Hertford much during the week.

The Curry Centre is an Indian takeaway at the junction of Cowbridge and Port Vale. Deco is where Zeros used to me. Dil's in where The Hot House used to be in Maidenhead Street. The Proper Cornish Food Company is in Maidenhead Street where Doorsteps used to be.

Has anyone tried the pasties etc from The Proper Cornish Food Company - are they any good? I generally get that sort of thing from Greggs but might switch allegiance if the Cornish stuff is any good. Also is the Curry Centre open yet - saw they had put a sign up when I drove past this morning.
